1-800Accountant is seeking a client-focused and highly motivated Business Tax Advisor to serve as the primary contact for our small business clientele in a fully remote environment. This role emphasizes advisory and compliance with cross-functional collaboration to deliver coordinated financial services.

You will manage a portfolio of 500+ clients, provide proactive tax guidance, and support tax preparation and review while collaborating with bookkeeping and payroll teams.

Qualifications

• Active PTIN must be maintained.
• Experience preparing individual and small business returns (e.g., Schedule C, 1120S, 1120, 1065).
• Proficiency with professional tax software; specifics discussed in interview.
• Ability to quickly learn new software and portals used for client work.
• Proven remote-work productivity and self-discipline.

Responsibilities

• Client advisory & communication for 500+ small business clients.
• Tax compliance guidance and proactive advice for clients.
• Conduct virtual meetings via phone/video to guide clients.
• Manage client data and document interactions in the portal.
• Collaborate with bookkeeping and payroll teams for integrated services.
• Support additional tasks to meet team objectives.
