Job summary

Sawdey Solution Services seeks a Tactical Systems Engineer - Mid to support SOCOM tactical C2 by engineering and sustaining TAK server infrastructure across NIPR, SIPR, IL6, and cloud environments in Tampa, FL. Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows and Linux in DoD environments (SIPR/NIPR).
• Advanced Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and RHEL tuning and patching.
• Experience deploying TAK Server and supporting ATAK/WinTAK.
• Experience with PKI-enabled systems and certificate provisioning.
• Experience with RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity compliance.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, ESXi, Hyper-V).
• Exposure to Azure and AWS cloud for DoD systems.
• Scripting with PowerShell for admin automation.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy, configure, and sustain TAK Server environments across multiple networks.
• Deploy and support ATAK, WinTAK, and WebTAK clients with secure provisioning.
• Support lifecycle management including RHEL upgrades, patching, and STIGs.
• Assist with containerized TAK deployments and Kubernetes architectures.
• Install and sustain tactical application servers (TRAX, FedHub, Compass) across environments.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity to implement RMF-aligned controls.
• Provide technical support for integration events and operational exercises.
• Assist with proposal development and other duties as assigned.
