Job summary

SEACORP seeks a Systems Engineer to update and maintain computer systems and networks, applying patches and evaluating impact. The role focuses on Linux Red Hat/CentOS and Windows in a KVM environment, supporting training systems operations.

Responsibilities include patch automation, fault identification, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime, with a Remote work setup and a Secret clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or IT, or equivalent Navy training/experience.
• Certification in Network+ or Security+ preferred.
• Strong OS knowledge; able to create procedures, not just follow.
• Experience managing Virtual Machines and KVM environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and patch Linux/Windows systems in a KVM environment.
• Maintain network architecture including Cisco VLANs.
• Identify hardware/software faults and implement fixes.
• Provide work-arounds to keep training exercises running; perform preventative maintenance.
