Job summary

SEACORP seeks a Systems Engineer to join our Training Systems team in Guam. The role maintains computer systems and networks, applies software and security patches, and evaluates application impact within a KVM-based Linux/Windows environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in engineering/CS/IT (or equivalent Navy training) and has strong networking, VM management, and Kubernetes knowledge, plus solid written and verbal communication. U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology or equivalent Navy training/experience.
• Network+ or Security+ certification preferred.
• Extensive operating system knowledge (Microsoft, Red Hat / Linux).
• Experience managing Virtual Machines and container technologies.
• Strong networking background and ability to configure and deploy services.
• Kubernetes knowledge or orchestration experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the network architecture including Cisco VLANs.
• Automate patching processes after evaluating patch impact.
• Identify hardware and software faults and develop corrections.
• Provide workarounds to keep training exercises running and perform preventative maintenance.
