Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a Deployment Specialist to design, build, and support production and non-production environments for a complex, multi-application solution. This role emphasizes stability, security, and performance in a 100% remote setup.

You will configure Windows Server environments, IIS, SQL Server, AD, and scripting tasks; collaborate across teams to ensure reliable deployments and rapid issue resolution. Competitive compensation with strong benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 5 years IT experience with Computer Software or Computer Engineering degree.
• Windows Server 2012-2019 (installation, configuration, management & IIS Role).
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, VBScript, CMD, SQL).
• Experience with Active Directory or LDAP.
• NTier applications (IIS frontend, .Net services, SQL Server).
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN).

Responsibilities

• Build shared and client-specific environments for production and non-production.
• Install, configure, and deploy servers and applications; troubleshoot issues.
• Configure IIS and manage SQL Server backups, restores, and permissions.
• Migrate servers and perform OS upgrades; manage AD tasks.
• Create systems reports via SQL Report Builder; automate tasks.
• Document procedures and maintain service catalog; provide after-hours support as needed.
