Job summary

Consensys is seeking an experienced software architect in a remote-friendly role to design and own large-scale distributed systems with Ethereum/EVM expertise. You will translate client requirements into robust architectures, author ADRs, and guide engineering through end-to-end design decisions.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, proofs of concept, and architectural reviews, with a strong focus on privacy, finality, and cross‑ledger interoperability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development or architecture.
• Experience designing distributed systems and documenting architectural decisions.
• Knowledge of Ethereum/EVM and blockchain concepts.
• Ability to communicate complex designs to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture across the platform, including sequencing, proving, interop, privacy and infrastructure.
• Lead cross‑ledger interoperability architecture and decision making.
• Translate institutional requirements into verifiable designs and ADRs.
• Produce proofs of concept and write concise design reviews for production readiness.
