Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a System Administrator – Access Services to manage identity and access across the organization, focusing on Active Directory, MFA, and remote access.

The role involves handling access requests, troubleshooting authentication issues, and ensuring secure, available services. It is a fully remote position within the United States and requires liaison with IT teams for timely ticket resolution.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a related discipline is required with 3 years experience, or 7 years total experience if the degree is not met.
• Experience with ITSM ticketing systems and AD architecture is required.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interface with nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory issues and Group Policy concerns.
• Manage DNS, TCP/IP, and NTFS related problems across a multi-site environment.
• Support authentication services, MFA, and remote access for internal/external customers.
• Document tickets, update knowledge articles, and contribute to process improvements.
• Work with Tier 2 and other IT teams to escalate and resolve issues as needed.
