Job summary

Storm4's client, a leading energy and sustainability solutions provider, seeks a Sustainability Manager to scale the GHG and ESG assurance function. You will own engagement delivery, quality, methodology, and team development while strengthening client relationships.

You will lead engagements from scoping to issuance, build robust assurance processes, and mentor a growing team in a virtual environment. This fully remote role includes occasional company-paid travel and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in sustainability, climate, ESG, GHG accounting, audit, verification, or assurance.
• Experience leading and reviewing assurance engagements.
• Knowledge of the GHG Protocol and Scope 1/2/3 accounting.
• Lead/Practicing sustainability assurance credential such as LCSAP or PCS AP, or equivalent.
• Strong people, project, client, and quality management in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead GHG and ESG assurance engagements from scoping and planning through fieldwork, reporting, and statement issuance.
• Build and improve assurance methodologies, quality controls, workpapers, review processes, and engagement standards.
• Review Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 inventories, calculation methodologies, emission factors, data controls, and reporting boundaries.
• Lead and develop assurance professionals while managing engagement capacity, schedules, budgets, quality, and risk.
• Partner with senior clients and cross-functional sustainability, energy, engineering, data, and compliance teams.

Company: Storm4's client is an established energy and sustainability solutions provider supporting commercial and industrial organizations with energy management, environmental compliance, resilience, and sustainability initiatives.

They're looking for a Sustainability Manager to lead and scale their GHG and ESG assurance function, owning engagement delivery, quality, methodology, team development, and client relationships.

• Lead GHG and ESG assurance engagements from scoping and planning through fieldwork, reporting, and statement issuance
• Build and continuously improve assurance methodologies, quality controls, workpapers, review processes, and engagement standards
• Review Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 inventories, calculation methodologies, emission factors, data controls, and reporting boundaries
• Lead and develop assurance professionals while managing engagement capacity, schedules, budgets, quality, and risk
• Partner with senior clients and cross-functional sustainability, energy, engineering, data, and compliance teams

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience conducting and reviewing audit, verification, or assurance engagements

• Current LCSAP, PCS AP, or equivalent Lead/Practicing sustainability assurance practitioner credential
• Strong people, project, client, and quality-management capabilities in a virtual environment
