SCS Global Services is seeking a Technical Manager for ESG Assurance to lead and oversee the Greenhouse Gas Inventory Verification Program and related ESG initiatives. The role emphasizes technical rigor, audit oversight, and staff development across multiple programs.

The candidate will work remotely in the US, manage key client relationships, and contribute to program quality, operations, and business development while ensuring adherence to accreditation requirements and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, data science, engineering or a relevant field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a related field.
• Experience in GHG emissions, energy, sustainability, or related sector.
• Experience as a verifier for greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory verifications or ESG Assurance.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize numerous tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally to conduct audits.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and manage a portfolio of complex audits, ensuring technical quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
• Serve as lead auditor on select high‑risk, high‑visibility audits as needed.
• Review and approve audit plans, technical reports, and closure of findings.
• Conduct site visit activities, interviews, site reconnaissance, and evaluating measurement practices.
• Provide technical guidance and escalation support to audit teams.
• Direct and oversee work of contract auditors.
• Conduct technical report reviews generated by others.
