Job summary

Idaho Power in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Surveyor to join Corporate Services & Communications. The role supports land surveying using traditional instruments, GPS, and scanners, with up to 40% remote work possible.

Responsibilities include researching boundary evidence, drafting easements, and creating legal descriptions. You will advise project teams on land rights and layout, manage survey contracts, and contribute to a safety-conscious, customer-focused energy company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geomatics, land surveying, or civil engineering or equivalent combo of training and experience.
• 4 years of previous survey-related experience or equivalent.
• Licenses: Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Idaho or 2 years of electric-utility surveying experience; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide land surveying using traditional instruments, GPS, and scanners.
• Research boundary evidence, draw easements, and write legal descriptions.
• Collect survey data for permits and project layouts; advise teams on land rights and layout matters.
• Prepare and manage survey contracting requests; work with multidisciplinary teams.
