Fenstermaker is seeking a Survey Technician to provide office-based support for field survey teams, ensuring accurate data handling and smooth coordination on projects.

The role focuses on managing survey data, assisting with project scheduling and documentation, and maintaining strong communication with clients and field crews. Remote or office-based work options may apply, with travel as needed to support field operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
• Experience supporting survey, construction, or field operations.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro and Global Mapper.
• Experience collecting and processing data for construction stakes using GPS, robotics and conventional total stations, and digital/conventional levels.
• Familiarity with drone-based LiDAR and photogrammetry outputs.
• Understanding of liability and risk mitigation in construction staking.
• Ability to adapt project design files into formats usable by survey crews.
• Strong commitment to supporting and collaborating with survey crews.

Responsibilities

• Providing office support to field survey crews during construction projects.
• Managing, organizing, and processing survey data for accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinating with field representatives, clients, and internal teams.
• Assisting with scheduling, logistics, and project documentation.
• Supporting QA/QC processes for survey deliverables.
• Preparing reports, files, and deliverables for project teams.
• Communicating updates between office and field teams.
