Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate is seeking a skilled Medical Coder to join our team in Atlanta. The role focuses on reviewing and coding medical records for accuracy with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS, ensuring medical necessity and data integrity across multiple specialties.

Support physicians and departments to resolve coding issues and improve workflow. Candidates should have at least 1 year of professional coding experience across multiple specialties and hold or be pursuing industry certifications

Qualifications

• 1 year of professional coding experience across multiple physician specialties.
• Experience in coding across multiple specialties and remote coding experience is Preferred.
• RHIA - RHIT - CCS - CPC or CCS-P certifications required or on hire.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and code medical record documentation for accurate ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding.
• Abstract demographic and coding information into the information system accurately.
• Review documentation for medical necessity and minimize claim denials.
• Audit orders and claims for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Provide technical guidance to physicians and staff to identify and resolve coding issues.
