Job summary

RTX is seeking a Supplier Quality and Development professional to drive supplier performance and continuous improvement. You will influence qualification, monitoring, escape management, and issue resolution with suppliers and internal partners to ensure regulatory and internal standards are met.

The role may travel up to 50% and is remote with potential West Coast preference due to supplier locations. Requires engineering background and strong problem-solving skills to sustain zero-defect

Qualifications

• Requires a university degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience with suppliers/engineering in a supply chain operations environment.
• Knowledge of quality regulations and core tools (APQP, Lean Six Sigma) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier qualification / certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution.
• Analyze and recommend on quality data and corrective actions.
• Provide root-cause analysis & problem solving (8D) in escape management.
• Develop corrective and/or preventive actions for systemic process and product design problems.
• Conduct processes and procedures for supplier qualification / certification, source inspection and PPAP-related activities.
• Drive support for the UTC Supplier Gold program for continuous improvement.
• Review processes and metrics to ensure supplier meeting requirements for work transfer and process changes.
