Job summary

IMI plc, a global engineering leader, seeks a Supplier Development Engineer to build supplier capabilities and drive performance across regulated markets worldwide. You will lead qualification programs and shape long‑term partner maturity at the intersection of quality, engineering and procurement.

This role is primarily remote, with occasional onsite in Palmer, MA and roughly 20% travel to supplier sites, focusing on PPAP/APQP, audits, root cause analysis and cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Supplier Development or Supplier Quality Engineering.
• Experience delivering supplier improvement projects with measurable outcomes.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments.
• Familiar with PPAP/APQP and industrial change processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier improvement initiatives delivering quality (SPPM) and on-time delivery gains across the supply base.
• Design supplier development roadmaps including on-site workshops and targeted training.
• Deploy the IMI Supplier Partnership program with KPIs and milestones.
• Lead supplier qualification activities end-to-end including PPAP/APQP and process validation.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments covering quality systems and risk.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities to support sourcing decisions with Procurement.
