Job summary

Thriveworks is seeking a Supervising Psychiatrist to join our growing team of mental health professionals. The ideal candidate will have an MD/DO in Psychiatry and TX licensure, with experience supervising mid-levels.

This role involves remote supervision of Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners as part of a telemedicine program. You will conduct quarterly QA, review charts, and ensure compliance with state laws, policies, and guidelines.

Qualifications

• MD/DO in Psychiatry.
• Active and Unrestricted Licenses and DES in TX.
• 3+ years of practice experience (or 1+ year if board-certified or hospital-based).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience supervising residents or mid-levels.
• Must be willing to take a minimum of 4 NP’s.
• No malpractice payout, licensure disciplinary action, or criminal/professional investigations in the last 5 years.
• Compact license or be willing to get one or be licensed in multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote clinical supervision to employed Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
• Conduct quarterly QA with each NP.
• Availability via text/email to answer questions M-F during business hours.
• Chart/Progress note review as required by state laws.
• May request additional supervision based on clinical need.
• Complete a short 1-page Google Document after monthly supervision for each NP.
• Stay knowledgeable of company policies and program guidelines.
• Complete annual training as required by HR.
