Job summary

ICF is seeking a motivated Summer Intern for the Human Capital and Learning portfolio. The intern will assist consulting teams, contribute to client projects, and gain exposure to workforce research, learning and development, and data‑informed decision‑making.

This 10‑week, full‑time internship starts in June and ends in August, with remote work possible from DC, Maryland or VA and occasional travel to Reston, VA. Housing or relocation assistance is not offered at this time.

Qualifications

• By start date, minimum 60 college credits in psychology, management, communications, or related field.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent work authorization required due to federal contracts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct background research related to human capital and learning.
• Support data collection activities: surveys, interviews, focus groups, pilots, environmental scans.
• Assist development and formatting of presentations, reports, guidebooks, training materials, and job aids.
• Support quality assurance to ensure accuracy and professional formatting of deliverables.
• Attend internal and client meetings, take notes, and track decisions and follow‑ups.
• Collaborate across projects to support a positive, inclusive, team‑oriented environment.
• Assist with proposal development and internal practice‑building activities.
• Learn and apply consulting methods, tools, and human‑centered approaches.
