Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Subrogation Examiner to research and examine routine health claims related to third-party liability, workers’ compensation, and other subrogation cases. This role is primarily remote with required in-person training sessions, offering flexibility and autonomy.

The candidate will initiate calls to insurers, attorneys, and members to determine potential reimbursement, review codes, and assist with special projects. Prior call-center experience and a BA/BS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of inbound or outbound call experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Initiates calls to groups, insurance companies, attorneys, members to determine reimbursement potential.
• Responds to inquiries regarding injury claims and information on claims.
• Utilizes various research methods and vendor systems to gather information.
• Works with subrogation staff and outside clients to assist with recovery processes.
• Prepares written communications and reviews codes to determine relevant claims.
• Reviews internal systems for information needs.
• Assists with small scale special projects.
