Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Subrogation Examiner to research and examine routine health claims related to Third Party Liability and other subrogation/reimbursement cases. The role is virtual full-time with required in-person training sessions and potential alternate locations within commuting distance.

The examiner will initiate calls to determine reimbursement potential, respond to inquiries on injury claims, and use vendor systems to gather information.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year inbound or outbound call experience.
• BA/BS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates calls to groups, insurance companies, attorneys, members and others as necessary to determine if claims have potential for reimbursement from another party.
• Responds to inquiries regarding information on injury claims.
• Utilizes various research methods and vendor systems to gather information.
• Works with subrogation staff, other departments and outside clients to assist with the recovery process.
• Prepares written communications. Reviews diagnostic and procedure codes to determine claims relevant to each case.
• Reviews internal systems/applications for various information needs.
• Assists with small scale special projects.
