Job summary

Devoted Studios, a globally remote game development partner, seeks a Studio Art Director to own the visual quality across multiple projects, often working within client IPs.

You will mentor art leads and senior artists, shape proposals and staffing, and contribute to executive planning. Deep expertise in Unreal and/or Unity and DCC tools is essential.

Lead a scalable art pipeline and collaborate with directors, producers, design and engineering to align visuals with gameplay.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in game art production.
• 5+ years as Art Director or studio-lead.
• Shipped titles with owned visual direction.
• Portfolio showing directed work across multiple projects.
• Experience leading distributed or external teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the studio's visual direction across projects.
• Lead art leads and senior artists; mentor and develop talent.
• Oversee art pipelines, quality benchmarks, and asset reviews.
• Collaborate with game directors, producers, design and engineering.
• Contribute to proposals, staffing, and pre-production planning.
