Job summary

Concorde is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to guide students and families through the financial aid process, assess eligibility, and advise on funding options. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies while supporting enrollment goals.

The role involves documenting, reporting, and collaborating with campus teams to resolve aid-related issues and promote financial literacy across diverse student populations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or GED) and 1 year in financial aid or an Associate degree preferred
• Minimum of 1 year data entry and professional customer service experience
• One year of experience in a proprietary online higher education environment preferred
• Must not be in default on any Federal Student Loans while employed

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counseling to students and families regarding financial aid options and eligibility
• Assist in completing FAFSA, Master Promissory Note, and institutional forms
• Offer budgeting and financial literacy guidance and loan repayment strategies
• Evaluate and process financial aid applications following policies
• Determine eligibility and award grants, loans, work‑study
• Monitor and verify documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Stay informed about changes in federal/state regulations
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with procedures
• Prepare and submit required reports to agencies
• Explain and apply federal regulations per the handbook
• Collaborate with departments to support student success
• Conduct workshops and outreach on financial aid opportunities
• Conduct entrance and exit interviews as required by federal rules
• Maintain records using appropriate software systems
• Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends
• Other duties as assigned
