Job summary

Uwill is hiring a Basic Needs Specialist for a remote, 1099 contractor role focused on virtual case management for college students. You will assess student basic needs, create Care Plans with referrals, and provide ongoing support to help students meet goals.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Social Work, an unrestricted license in any state, and at least 2 years of client-centered case management experience. Flexible US-wide scheduling and HIPAA-compliant telehealth setup are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field.
• Unencumbered social work license in any state (Associates welcome).
• At least 2 years of client-centered case management or care in 1:1 settings.
• Knowledge of basic needs resources such as public benefits, food assistance, housing, and campus resources.
• Demonstrated cultural competence with diverse student identities and backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for campus and community collaboration.
• HIPAA-compliant private workspace for telehealth sessions.
• Ability to conduct Zoom meetings on Mac OS 10.13+ or Windows 10+ with camera and good internet.
• Flexible schedule; option to update availability; work from any private US location.
• Training and ongoing clinical support through monthly sessions.

Responsibilities

• Assess basic needs of students on caseload.
• Meet with students virtually to develop comprehensive Care Plans and referrals.
• Provide ongoing follow-up and progress tracking.
• Serve as the central contact to connect students to public benefits, on-campus programs, and community resources.
