The California Energy Commission is seeking a Student Assistant to support the Siting, Transmission, and Environmental Protection Division. This part-time, remote-friendly position involves administrative tasks and project coordination for UEI staff in California.

Work hours are flexible within 8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday, with up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours during breaks. Competitive hourly pay is offered.

Qualifications

• This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited student position.
• Must reside in California and be enrolled in eligible units.
• Pre-employment background checks may be required.
• Must not hold more than one UEI student assistant position at a time.
• UEI requires working in California for this role.

Responsabilités

• Support program staff with administrative duties and file organization.
• Coordinate and track division projects, including IT initiatives.
• Coordinate division activities, budgets, and policy initiatives.
• Review budgets and perform quality control checks.
• Create presentations and coordinate meetings.
• Assist with documentation and workflow processes.
• Analyze, format, and input technical information.
• Assist staff and management with other tasks and assignments.
