Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill is seeking a civil engineering intern in Hartford, CT to support the Structural department on vertical design projects. The 12-week paid summer program provides real client project experience in a collaborative environment, with a full-time weekday schedule.

The internship emphasizes learning, field work, and software usage (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Synchro) while offering flexible/remote work opportunities and benefits typically associated with internships.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Synchro is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with building design.
• Assist with the preparation of local and state permit applications.
• Conduct field visits.
• Provide construction administration and support.
• Utilize design-related software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Synchro.
