Job summary

Nextpower Inc. seeks a Structural Engineer II to join the Project Engineering team, supporting US solar projects from development through construction. This remote-enabled role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, cost-effective designs.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Structural or Civil Engineering, 3+ years of structural analysis experience, PE licensure, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, LPile/AllPile, RISA/OpenSees/STAAD.Pro; Python skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' structural engineering experience, solar preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one US state; ability to obtain licensure in others.

Responsibilities

• Produce structural design calculations for solar tracker racking systems.
• Conduct wind, seismic, and foundation analyses; prepare calculation packages; sign/seal documents as required.
• Provide construction support, respond to RFIs, review submittals.
• Coordinate with cross-regional structural and civil teams; manage schedules and deliverables.
