MANTECH seeks a motivated Structural Engineer to support Military Sealift Command (MSC) engineering and design. Remote out of Virginia with occasional travel to Chesapeake or Norfolk for client meetings.

You will ensure hull integrity, stability, and performance of marine structures on naval vessels, delivering analyses, reports, and technical support across hull outfitting, mooring, vibration, and systems analyses.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Applied Mechanics or related field.
• 5+ years experience with specialized vessels (various T- series ships) and related naval applications.
• Experience with vessel stability calculations, mooring analysis, towing plans, ship salvage, and dry-docking operations.
• Expertise in complex hull structures, arrangements, outfitting, and structural analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Perform professional architectural, engineering, and scientific work on marine structures.
• Conduct detailed structural analyses and FEA to evaluate hull integrity and safety.
• Develop technical reports for Weight and Moment, Stability, and Inclining Experiments.
• Execute Hydrostatics and intact/damage stability assessments for maritime standards.
• Manage hull/deck outfitting, mooring studies, and vibration analyses.
• Perform material analyses and weld/connection analyses for ship repairs and construction.
• Provide engineering oversight for rigging, cargo handling, and lifesaving systems analyses.
