Job Responsibilities

• Conduct site studies evaluating damages to building materials or components for residential and commercial structures.
• Write technical reports with detailed findings and conclusions.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
• Provide expert testimony or depositions as needed, supported by our Litigation Department.
• Proactively pursue training, certifications, and education (cost covered by the company).
• Travel may be required for investigations outside your region, including daily and overnight travel.

Minimum Education/Requirements

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering or related fields.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Illinois.
• Active NCEES record or eligibility to obtain within 90 days.
• 2-3 years experience in failure analysis or related construction knowledge preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Strong technical writing skills and experience with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
