Job summary

twiceasnice Recruiting seeks a Structural Designer for a remote role within two hours of Pottsville, PA. You will prepare structural layouts, perform calculations, and collaborate with drafting and engineering teams to move custom systems from concept to fabrication.

You will work with an outside licensed engineer for final review and sealed drawings, bridging drafting and engineering. The position emphasizes hands-on design, flexibility, and a healthy work/life balance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural design experience, including structural steel applications.
• Experience in performing structural calculations including ASCE 7 load calculations.
• Structural connection design experience.
• Strong background with 3D CAD and structural analysis software required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural layouts and detailed drawings for custom structural support systems
• Produce structural calculations and assist with engineering analysis for custom projects
• Develop connection details for welded, bolted, and anchored structural assemblies
• Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Create and revise fabrication and shop drawings using 3D CAD software
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to support project execution
• Review fabrication drawings for accuracy and constructability
• Prepare supporting engineering documentation for licensed review
• Assist with delegated engineering documents and outside engineering submittals
• Support product improvements, prototype development, and design standardization
