Our client, a manufacturer of custom structural building systems, is looking to bring engineering capabilities in-house with their first Staff Structural Engineer. Working on a variety of commercial structural support systems, you'll perform structural analysis, develop practical solutions, and collaborate with drafting and manufacturing teams to bring custom designs from concept through fabrication. You'll be responsible for engineering and structural design while partnering with an outside licensed engineer for final review and sealed drawings. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to do more than review calculations. As the company's first internal engineering hire, you'll help shape engineering processes, support product development, and become a trusted technical resource. If you've enjoyed working closely with manufacturing or are ready to step away from the constant deadlines and billable hours that often come with consulting, you'll appreciate this environment. With 100-150 projects each year, you'll stay engaged with a variety of engineering challenges without spending every day in crisis mode.
The company operates on trust and flexibility, giving employees the autonomy to do their jobs while maintaining a healthy work/life balance.
