Job summary

Outsource Access is seeking a detail-oriented structural engineer to design foundations and steel structures, preparing precise CAD drawings and schedules for residential and commercial projects.

You will collaborate with architects/contractors, review geotechnical reports, and perform wind calculations per ASCE 7, while documenting processes for continuous improvement. Strong AutoCAD and enginering software skills are required.

Qualifications

• The Detail-Obsessed Engineer with an engineering degree (EIT or PE preferred) and strong attention to detail within defined project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
• The Proactive Communicator: fluent and professional English and/or Spanish, able to submit preliminary drawings and updates within strict 2-week turnaround windows.
• The Process Builder: eager to document processes into a fully integrated playbook to continuously improve workflows.
• Tech-Savvy: strong AutoCAD skills and knowledge of structural engineering software such as SAFE, ETABS, ENERCALC, or Visual Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design conventional reinforced concrete, post-tensioned slabs, steel structures, and foundations for residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare precise CAD structural drawings, including foundation plans, floor framing, reinforcing plans, and schedules for shear walls, columns, and beams.
• Coordinate directly with architects and general contractors to resolve design conflicts before construction begins.
• Review geotechnical soil reports for foundation design and perform wind pressure calculations per ASCE 7.
