Job summary

EU Design Consulting in Maryland seeks a CAD Designer to support structural engineering projects of various sizes. You will prepare CAD drawings and contract documents, read and interpret drawings with markups, and collaborate with engineers.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or drafting certification, experience with AutoCAD, and familiarity with Revit or SketchUp. Remote options are available, with opportunities to work with senior engineers on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in drafting or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Extensive experience in developing contract drawings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience with Revit and/or SketchUp is preferred.
• Experience with BIM preferred.
• Authorized to work in the US.

EU Design Consulting, a locally owned boutique firm specializing in structural engineering, heavy civil construction and design/program/construction management for complex projects is seeking a CAD Designer to provide expertise on general Structural Engineering projects of various sizes. The successful candidate will have experience in structural lumber projects, structural steel and concrete construction. Full Time and Part Time applicants will be considered for remote position.

Prepare CAD drawings and contract documents.

Manage drawing files, CAD standards and other digital files as needed.

Prepare graphics for engineering reports.

Read, understand, interpret existing drawings with mark-ups.

Collaborate with engineers and other designers.

Requirements
