Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to evaluate system performance using mechanics, FEA, and simulations. You will analyze components for strength, fatigue life, and integrity, and support regulatory alignment across the product lifecycle.

The role requires solid background in structural methods, experience with SolidWorks, FEMAP/NASTRAN/LS-DYNA, and strong communication. This fully remote position offers growth in a regulated, aerospace context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4–7 years in aerospace/defense or regulated engineering.
• Experience in structural mechanics, dynamics, and physics-based modeling.
• Strong FEA/structural simulation and verification background.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks; familiarity with FEMAP/NASTRAN/LS-DYNA/Python; CATIA V5 preferred.
• Experience with compliance, regulatory, and verification activities.
• Strong communication, ownership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanics and physics-based analysis to evaluate system performance.
• Perform structural assessments using hand calcs, FEA, and simulations.
• Analyze components for strength, stiffness, fatigue life, and integrity.
• Support requirements development aligned with customer and regulatory needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Review designs and verifications to provide evaluations and recommendations.
• Generate reports and presentations communicating results and rationale.
• Support qualification, verification, and validation throughout development lifecycle.
• Contribute to internal standards, training materials, and process improvements.
• Own technical deliverables and drive projects in a collaborative team.
