Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II - Structural Analysis. This fully remote role focuses on advanced FEA of mechanical and electromechanical components to support static and dynamic loading scenarios across multiple industries.

You will collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems and Software teams, develop design inputs, perform hand calculations, and contribute to project planning and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering plus 4+ years of engineering analysis and product development.
• Master’s degree in engineering plus 2+ years of engineering analysis and product development.
• Strong knowledge of FEA, specifically using Femap with NX Nastran for structural and dynamic analysis.
• CAD experience (SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with drone equipment or analysis of composite structures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical and electromechanical components using FEA for static and dynamic loads.
• Apply solid and shell meshing analysis approaches.
• Collect, develop, and analyze design inputs; generate hand calculations.
• May work under a senior engineer on larger projects.
• Participate in design reviews and assist in estimating scope and duration.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, and Software Engineering teams.
• Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and vendor communications.
