Job summary

The Hershey Company is seeking a Specialist, Supply Planner in Hershey, PA with open to remote flexibility. You will develop and execute a master production schedule and manage inventory to meet customer service and financial goals.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in production planning or supply chain roles, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and strong analytical and communication skills. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and data-driven planning using Kinaxis and SAP.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years progressive related experience in production scheduling, inventory management/deployment or supply/operations planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop/maintain master production schedule and inventory strategy to support service goals and financial targets.
• Build and manage 18-month production schedules aligning with sales, inventory targets and product age objectives.
• Coordinate product supply through exception management, capacity analysis, ACC feasibility input and new item integration.
• Manage FG/intermediate inventory targets, item versions, deployment settings, safety stock opportunities and aged/unsalable risk.
• Maintain Kinaxis/SAP production/ATP data and support planning, analysis and continuous improvement.
• Scope includes ~150–200 items, 1–6 plants, 10–40 production resources, $160M–$750M sales and $15M–$30M FG inventory.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to resolve supply issues.
• Apply supply chain principles, planning systems; SAP preferred; understand forecasting impact.
• Demonstrate strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving abilities; work independently.
• Communicate effectively and mentor/train others; proficient MS Office/PC skills.
