Job summary

Excellus BCBS is seeking an experienced Strategic Out of Area Sales Consultant to prospect and win new business outside the 31 counties served. You will drive growth for MSO, LBS Ancillary, Pharmacy, and Operations as a Service, while maintaining strong carrier partnerships.

The role requires deep knowledge of health insurance products and proven sales success, with the ability to present compelling proposals and manage complex negotiations.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of proven successful sales experience within the health insurance industry or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance products, pharmacy products, and ancillary benefits.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Prospect, develop, and win new business outside of the current service area.
• Deliver customized proposals and quotes that meet client needs.
• Negotiate and close sales contracts in line with company policies.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers within health insurance carriers and MSO partners.
• Collaborate with marketing, finance, and product teams to create sales materials and identify market trends.
