Job summary

Excellus BCBS is seeking a Strategic Out of Area Sales Consultant to prospect, develop, and win new business outside of the 31 counties served by Lifetime Healthcare Companies. The role focuses on the MSO portfolio, growth in LBS Ancillary, Pharmacy, and Operations as a Service, and satisfaction of accounts.

The position requires extensive health insurance sales experience, strong strategic selling skills, and the ability to travel as needed to meet clients and close deals.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of proven sales experience in health insurance.
• Knowledge of health insurance products, pharmacy products, ancillary benefits, and industry trends.
• Strong prospecting and networking abilities with the capacity to develop and maintain relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; proficient with CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and manage an Out of Area pipeline across brokers, distribution channels, carriers, and TPAs.
• Deliver customized proposals and compelling presentations to potential clients.
• Negotiate and close sales contracts aligned with company policies.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers in health insurance carriers and MSO partners.
• Collaborate with marketing, finance, and product teams to create strong sales materials and understand market needs.
