Job summary

Hopper is seeking a Finance & Strategy Manager to partner with leaders, build forecasting models, and drive data-driven decisions. You’ll own forecasts, support deals and fundraising, and craft executive-ready materials in a fast-moving, AI-enabled environment.

The role emphasizes rigorous Modeling, strategic finance, and partnering across business units, including M&A and capital allocation discussions. A strong background in FP&A or corporate development is ideal.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, strategic finance or FP&A.
• Advanced financial modeling skills: three-statement models, DCF, scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Excellent understanding of accounting and how the three financial statements connect.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain financial concepts to non-finance partners.
• Working knowledge of SQL and ability to pick up technical tools quickly.
• Hands-on use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to automate repetitive work.
• Strong ownership, comfort with ambiguity and a builder mindset.
• Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Math, Engineering or another quantitative discipline.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrated financial models, scenario and sensitivity analyses, and business cases for new products, partnerships and investments.
• Evaluate economics of new commercial agreements (pricing, revenue share, unit economics, ROI) and shape deal terms with leaders.
• Support fundraising, M&A and capital allocation decisions with models and analyses.
• Own monthly and quarterly forecast for supported areas and contribute to budgets and long-range plans.
• Lead reviews of actuals vs. plan and forecast, explain variances, flag risks and opportunities.
• Partner with leadership on market sizing, investment prioritization and cost optimization.
• Prepare executive-, board- and investor-ready materials explaining the numbers.
• Use SQL, BigQuery and AI tools to automate recurring reporting and analysis.
