Job summary

Frederick Fox is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting function in a remote role, with preference for candidates in the New York Metro area or nearby Eastern Time zones. You will partner with the CFO to build scalable financial processes and oversee multi-entity accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities include consolidations, audits, tax, and ERP system implementation while ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls to support growth through acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Controller or Assistant Controller with multi-entity accounting experience.
• Experience with GAAP compliance, consolidations, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting acquisitions and ERP implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the company’s accounting function and oversee day-to-day financial operations.
• Partner closely with the CFO to build and scale the holding corporation accounting.
• Manage accounting, audit, and tax functions for multiple legal entities, including consolidations and financial reporting.
• Support the accounting integration of newly acquired businesses.
• Develop scalable accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Lead cash-to-accrual accounting conversions where appropriate.
• Evaluate and implement technologies that improve accounting efficiency and automation.
• Participate in the selection and implementation of a new ERP system, including chart of accounts design, entity mapping, data migration, and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, close processes, and operational efficiency.
