Job summary

AMG & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Communications Specialist on a full-time contract basis to develop, coordinate, and deliver clear, consistent communications that support objectives and strengthen stakeholder engagement.

The role requires strong writing, attention to detail, and experience across multiple channels. You will work with leadership and other departments to translate complex information into concise messaging and manage communication plans in a remote/hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in communications, corporate communications, public relations, marketing communications, internal communications, content development, or a related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional grammar, tone, clarity, and detail.
• Ability to translate complex information into concise and understandable communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, edit, and distribute internal and external communications, including announcements, newsletters, presentations, reports, and organizational updates.
• Develop communication strategies and messaging aligned with business objectives, priorities, and stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with leadership, marketing, HR, operations, and other departments to identify requirements and messaging.
• Translate complex information into clear, audience-appropriate communications.
• Manage communication calendars, schedules, deadlines, and distribution plans across initiatives.
• Draft executive communications, leadership announcements, employee updates, talking points, briefing materials, and presentations.
• Support internal communication initiatives to improve employee engagement and alignment.
• Coordinate communications for initiatives, changes, projects, programs, and events.
• Review and edit materials for accuracy, tone, grammar, and consistency.
