Job summary

Oliver James Associates Ltd. is seeking an experienced employer medical stop-loss specialist to shape the company's stop-loss pricing strategy and pricing platform. You will be the internal SME, influencing methodologies, processes and systems while partnering with Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance, Operations and Sales.

The role offers remote work with periodic travel to head office, and requires hands-on stop-loss pricing experience, plus ASA or FSA credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Employer medical stop-loss experience.
• Hands-on stop-loss pricing or underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of specific and aggregate coverage.
• Experience reviewing and improving pricing models, assumptions and processes.
• ASA or FSA credentialed actuary preferred; experienced underwriters considered.

Responsibilities

• Shape the company's stop-loss pricing strategy and approach.
• Review and improve existing pricing models, assumptions and processes.
• Advise on deductibles, attachment points and coverage structures.
• Provide current market intelligence and apply to the rating platform.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Underwriting, Finance, Operations and Sales.
