GoTo is seeking a State Tax Senior Analyst for a remote, part-time role (~24 hours/week) within the Accounting & Finance team. You will handle state tax compliance, notices, and related filings, while collaborating with internal teams to ensure accuracy and strong controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience preparing state and local tax returns and supporting recurring tax compliance processes.
• Experience responding to state tax notices and maintaining organized supporting documentation and workpapers.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail with ability to manage responsibilities independently.
• Working knowledge of SALT fundamentals including income tax, sales/use tax, nexus, and indirect tax concepts; able to research and communicate conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and supporting recurring state tax compliance processes, including state income tax returns, payments, schedules, supporting documentation, and workpapers.
• Assisting with quarterly tax provision support and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
• Responding to state tax notices and coordinating with internal teams for tax-related requests.
• Supporting operational tax processes including licenses, annual reports, and sales tax exemption tracking.
• Conducting tax research and building knowledge of telecom taxes and related compliance requirements.
