Job summary

VGS, the global leader in payment tokenization, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and scale agentic payment infrastructure. You will build secure Python 3.13+ and FastAPI services, API platforms for enrollment and token provisioning, and cryptographic workflows powering trusted transactions.

You’ll own security, reliability, and observability across the platform while collaborating with Product, Security, Infrastructure, and external partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong Python coding and automation skills.
• Experience with security, cryptography, and payment data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect Agentic Payment Infrastructure using Python 3.13+ and FastAPI.
• Define API platform for card enrollment, token provisioning, and cryptographic workflows.
• Own security, reliability, and scale; drive observability and performance.
• Automate provisioning with Kubernetes APIs and CRDs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from design to production.
