Job summary

micro1 is seeking a Staff-level Engineer in Quality Engineering to design AI-powered, automated QA systems. You will own the foundations for scalable test automation across web apps, APIs, and end-to-end workflows, integrating quality into CI/CD and release processes.

You will mentor engineers, raise testing standards, and help the team reduce manual QA effort while increasing product quality and release confidence.

Qualifications

• Staff-level engineering expertise with deep QA or SDET experience.
• Hands-on programming and production-grade automation frameworks.
• Extensive automation of web apps, APIs and end-to-end workflows.
• Experience with Playwright/Cypress/Selenium/pytest or equivalent.
• Ability to design scalable testing systems and automate quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Build agentic QA systems using AI-powered workflows for test gen and regression.
• Own test automation architecture across web apps, APIs and end-to-end flows.
• Make quality continuous by integrating checks into CI/CD and releases.
• Automate regression detection, root cause triage, and issue investigation.
• Improve testing intelligence by targeting coverage and risk-based tests.
• Design QA for scale as product complexity grows without more QA staff.
• Establish quality observability for release readiness and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and set testing standards across teams.
