Job summary
Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for the OpenTelemetry Experience to own end‑to‑end telemetry workflows across instrumentation, collectors, and deployment paths. You will partner with engineering, design, and GTM to deliver a coherent OpenTelemetry journey and ensure healthy telemetry across Grafana Cloud.
You will lead cross‑functional squads, drive onboarding experiences, and shape product strategy with customer research and market insight.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in Product Management for developer tools/observability
- Experience leading multiple engineering teams without direct authority
- Strong knowledge of OpenTelemetry concepts and ecosystems
- Experience turning onboarding and troubleshooting workflows into clear product experiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication in a remote, global company
Responsibilities
- Define vision, strategy, and cross‑product roadmap for instrumenting workloads
- Create coherent experiences across SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and collectors
- Identify and reduce setup failures, abandonment, and misconfiguration
- Establish shared experience principles across product and engineering teams
- Prioritize investments using customer research and product data
