Job summary
Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for the OpenTelemetry Experience to own end‑to‑end telemetry onboarding and activation in Grafana Cloud. You will lead cross‑functional teams across SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector‑based deployment, shaping the user journey for developers and operators.
You will partner with engineering, design, docs, and GTM teams to ensure a coherent, scalable OpenTelemetry experience while driving measurable outcomes in customer
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Product Management experience in developer tools, observability, or technically complex B2B products.
- Experience leading strategy and execution across multiple engineering teams without direct authority.
- Strong working knowledge of OpenTelemetry and related instrumentation concepts.
Responsibilities
- Define vision, strategy, and cross‑product roadmap for the OpenTelemetry journey in Grafana Cloud.
- Create coherent experiences across SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector deployment.
- Identify and eliminate setup failures and low‑quality telemetry.
- Share experience principles and success metrics across product and engineering teams.
- Use research and data to prioritize investments and measure onboarding and activation outcomes.
- Collaborate with product marketing to position and launch the OpenTelemetry experience.
