Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a remote position. The role requires licensure in AZ, IN, FL, OH, or TN and offers an 8‑week training period with a weekday schedule, then rotating shifts including Saturdays.

As Staff Pharmacist you will interpret prescriptions, contact prescribers and patients as needed, supervise technicians, ensure quality and safety, and support peak volumes with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required; PharmD preferred.
• Current active pharmacist license in good standing.
• Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills.
• Excellent communication and attention to accuracy.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule for peak volume times.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients regarding the use of medications and potential drug interactions.
• Contact physicians for new and/or transfer authorization.
• Collaborate with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs whenever possible.
• Interpret physicians’ or prescribers’ prescriptions.
• Verify information on prescriptions to expedite processing of orders.
• Provide oversight to pharmacy technicians.
