Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Part-Time Staff Pharmacist to provide telepharmacy services from a Denver, CO or Las Vegas, NV office. You will support hospital clients across multiple states, ensure safe and compliant medication practices, and contribute to clinical excellence through counseling and evidence-based recommendations.

The role requires evenings, overnights, and some holidays, with shifts listed. Strong communication, licensure, and adaptability across systems are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
• Active and in good standing Colorado or Nevada pharmacist license.
• Willing to obtain additional state licenses (AL, LA, MS, MI, SC, NY).
• 1+ years inpatient hospital experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Knowledge of formulary management and P&T procedures.
• Familiarity with client/server applications.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Drive, internet, and email.

Responsibilities

• Perform remote order entry, order verification, drug verification, and patient/staff counseling.
• Support multiple clients and operate within various pharmacy information systems (PIS).
• Provide proactive clinical pharmacy services and adhere to client-specific and policies.
• Deliver drug information and therapeutic recommendations, including dosing adjustments and interactions.
• Maintain knowledge of IV fluids, TPN, narcotic/cardiac drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, etc.
• Counsel patients, nurses, and medical staff on safe medication use.
• Investigate and resolve medication variances within 48 hours.
• Learn and work in multiple hospital pharmacy systems.
• Obtain and maintain multiple state licenses.
• Document orders, interventions, and recommendations in PLRX by end of shift.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Perform basic troubleshooting during system/connectivity issues.
• Work with VPNs, PIS platforms, automation systems, and common software.
