Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for a remote position. The role involves interpreting prescriptions, verifying details with prescribers, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You may train less experienced pharmacists and support a high-volume operation.

During a 2–3 month training period, hours are Mon–Fri 9:00–6:00 ET. After training, shifts are 9am–6pm EST or 11am–8pm EST for East Coast employees, or 1pm–10pm EST for AZ residents.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing is required.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmacy technicians and maintain quality.
• Interpret prescriptions and verify drug details.
• Contact doctors/patients to verify information for orders.
• Verify controlled substances and order entry accuracy.
• Consult patients on medications and interactions.
• Train junior pharmacists as needed.
