Job summary

Delinea is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape the StrongDM proxy and control-plane platform. You will apply deep expertise in Go, distributed systems, and security to design highly concurrent backend services and cryptographic workflows.

You will mentor engineers, lead cross-team reviews, and drive architecture decisions across multi-cloud environments, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scale in a security-led product. This role reports to the engineering manager.

Qualifications

• Primary technologies include Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and related tools for day-to-day development.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native backend services is expected.
• Strong understanding of secure network protocols and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Help design architecture and technical direction for highly concurrent backend systems in Go.
• Drive design decisions for the proxy data plane and control-plane services.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps leadership on multi-quarter roadmaps.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on TLS/mTLS, key management, and credential brokering.
• Lead code and design reviews, mentor engineers, and uphold performance and security standards.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues in multi-cloud production environments.
