Job summary

Delinea is building the StrongDM platform, a universal access management solution securing databases, servers, Kubernetes clusters, and web apps. As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll shape the technical direction of the proxy and control-plane, tackling complex distributed systems challenges and applying deep Go expertise.

You’ll mentor engineers, define security protocols (TLS/mTLS, key management), and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, secure back-end platforms in a multi-cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of professional experience with Go and backend/distributed systems at scale.
• Experience architecting highly concurrent, distributed systems and using Go’s networking/crypto libraries.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, network protocols, and API design (gRPC/Protobuf and REST).

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technical direction of highly concurrent backend systems in Go.
• Drive design decisions for proxy data plane and control-plane services.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, and DevOps/SRE to shape multi-quarter roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and lead code/design reviews across teams.
• Document architectural decisions and maintain technical strategy.
