Samsara, the leader in Connected Operations Cloud, is seeking a senior Maps architect to shape the technical direction of the Maps team. You will build geospatial systems underpinning core features across Samsara products and mentor engineers.

This role emphasizes scaling storage, queries, and real-time processing, consolidating team-specific solutions into a platform-wide offering, and delivering self-serve data tools for customers via code reviews and collaborative design discussions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, with 8+ years building software and at least 2 years in an architect or technical leadership role.
• Strong programming and design fundamentals, plus 4+ years working on large-scale distributed systems.
• 4+ years leading technical projects across multiple teams.

Responsabilidades

• Shape the technical direction of the Maps team and build geospatial systems that support foundational features across most Samsara products.
• Scale storage, query, and computational load for real-time features and consolidate team-specific geospatial solutions into platform-wide offerings.
• Build agentic solutions for customers to self-serve data and raise the technical bar through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship.
